    Cancellation of VASO

Was going to say the same thing. I can't rightly run this thing only in the summertime.

Summer project idea won't work. Imagine that you are in a VSA that is only open 3 months a year. The amount of work required for those three months outweighs the benefit of running it.

I appreciate your effort at the astronomical task you set before yourself, and the continuous updates you fed to us. It was fun. Good luck in high school!

Well, I do understand what you mean Fireballs619. I have had to cancel a lot of projects because of school. This is my first year of highschool, and am being crushed with a lot of work, and like you I don't want to look back at highschool and realize that I messed up because of other un-important things.

Man, I really was looking forward to VASO.

Maybe it can be a summer time project for you. (just an idea)

    Cancellation of VASO

I certainly won't be chuckling to myself as I did have high hopes that this VSA would succeed so it is a real shame to see it bite the dust after all the work that has gone into it.

I do applaud you for writing up this blog though rather than just quietly abandoning it as has happened with so many others. It does show some of the issues and the sheer amount of work required by a VSA.

I meant 'you' as in anyone who read that comment, didn't mean to put you on the spot there.

I don't think an administrative sidekick would help much to be honest. As for taking the project over, I'd be glad to pass it off on someone. Of course, I don't want it turning into a shadow of itself, so if you want to take over, make sure you can at least run it before contacting me.

Is there no one who cloud take over the project, or at least be an administrative 'sidekick' to make things easier? VASO looked like a promising project with a significant amount of support. I know I wasn't part of it, but I still hate to see it go after all the work you guys put into it.

Well, if you think about it, they kind of do. NASA just does bigger things.

It's music to ears (or maybe a mirage to my eyes since I'm reading) about VA integration and since I have much experience flying online and with many different aircraft on MSFS (and a bit X-Plane) when time comes I will gladly assist in whatever I can to make this happen
However, I totally agree that the top priority now should be to finish what is already started.

I want to point out the second edit I made. I have decided not to incorporate MSFS into VASO as of now.
