Jack:Alright we are turning on autopilot.
Matt:Okay,we've got all engines armed.

Last summer and fall, I worked at the Sacramento International Airport for four months as a baggage handler/ ramp worker. This short blog will lay out certain ground rules and expectations for my later posts.

XR-2 Test#2



Last year (2015) HASSESA was contracted by SpaceX and Altea to test out the XR-2's capabilities. The XR-2 was designed to get us to Mars by the year 2025 if not earlier. In one of the President Elect's speeches back in 2014; Allen Delacroix promised to venture farther in space making Venus and Mars our targets.

Someone asked in the last post about the tutorials I used. It was a combination of a few - I started with this one:

It's good at explaining and it's good for me because I usually learn better when I have some full code to look at to summarise the point, and which builds up in complexity in each tutorial, but that site has been slammed for not error checking. So let's add a virtual cockpit.

Virtual cockpits can dramatically increase the immersion factor of a simulation and a custom cockpit and/or 2d panel is an absolute ust for any vessel that with advanced subsystem modeling. The historical LM had over 160 switches and displays spread across 14 panels and we've only got so many keyboard commands to work with.

PART 12: Adding a virtual cockpit.
