Would it be a good idea to add a new status category "in progress" or "fixed in next beta" to bug issues in the Orbiter issue list? I would set this status for any bugs I have fixed already in my code, but haven't uploaded in beta yet. This way, whenever I upload a new beta, I would only have to search for the in-progress issues, and switch them to "fixed". (Maybe this could even be done automatically whenever a new beta tag is added to the database?).
At the moment, I tend to overlook some of the "solved in next beta" issues, i.e. they remain open even though a beta with a fix is already available.
I am currently abusing the "Confirmed" tag for this purpose, that is, I tend to confirm issues only when I have already fixed them, but this is not a good solution, because it makes it look like the issues are not receiving attention. Also, I want to encourage confirmation or rejection of issues by other moderators to help me prioritising problems. (I particularly appreciate orb's good work here!)
Of course, another solution would be for me to upload betas more frequently, so that recently fixed issues don't get a chance to drop out of sight and out of mind. But you know how it is ...
