Default Joystick Profiles?

Is there anyway to assign ROT and LIN controls to the same joystick? I have tried using Fly-by-wire, but it fires both ROT and LIN at the same time. I have a x52, and i can't figure out a way to do it on the SST.

The best way I have found to do this is to set the buttons to the POV hat on the joystick. This is how I have it set up on my X52:

POV hat 2:

Up = Num 8
Down = Num 2
Left = Num 1
Right = Num 3

POV hat 2 + Shift switch:

Left = Num 4
Right =Num 6

Other buttons:

Fire C = Num 5
Fire A = Num 9
Fire B = Num 6

Fire C + Shift Switch = /

I'm using Saitek Aviator with SST software. I've set one of joystick buttons as '/' key, and now joystick works in both ways perfectly. Just don't try to define main axes in Fly-By-Wire or SST, and you'll still need to define pro/retro translation to something else since retro-trans falls on right banking of joystick (6 on numpad) what is rather stupid, and pro-trans (9 on numpad) is out of axial joysrick control anyway.

jinglesassy, try to download latest drivers and software, I had the same problems until I've installed latest versions of all Saitek soft.

Thanks a bunch guys. I've been encountering some more problems though. I got my x52 at best buy and there seems to be a problem with it. For most of the day the MFD was only reading out "Saitek x52 flight control system" (not 'no profile', as it should). I finally solved that problem, but now the software won't recognize the commands I've programmed. For instance, if i programed Fire to 'Kill engines', and I press fire in the test, nothing comes up as an output (*, as it should be in this case). The MFD still reads 'kill engines' but it has no effect. I'm going to post this on the Saitek forums, but if any of you know what to do, it would be appreciated. My current driver version is 6.0.4.1 and my software is 6.6.0.38. Thanks!
