Default New non-atmospheric lander

Hi guys, ive decided to learn how to create addons and i think im getting there.

this is my first try and im planning to use vinkas spacecraft II as i havent a clue where to start with C++.

there is a screen shot of the lander under construction as an attachment.

im using anim8or and ive got a grip of how to make the basic shapes as you can see and i can add textures but not very well (the legs, shock absorbers, ladder and main engine are done using UV mapper as either spheres or cylinders) can anyone give advice on how to do this better (ie the body) and also how to add windows? as the tutorials i have found are only basic (make a plane and a rocket).

any help would be greatly appreachiated.

hope to have this on oribiter hanger soon!

Wow, looks good.
Juging by the size of that ladder it looks pretty small though.

My best advice for finding out how to do stuff is to play around, and experiment.
It's how I learnt modelling.

Ive designed the scheme in paint and i tried enlarging the picture by drawing more of it! didnt work though. ive alsotried alterin the body from being rendered as a cylinder to a sphere but that didnt work either.

just thought, would saving the skin as a JPEG rather than a BMP make any difference?
