Default Ein ganz blöde Wortspiel

Warum können kleine Kinder fliegen, nach sie viel gestohlen haben?

Sie sind Hübschräuber.

While we're at it (maybe hard to understand for non-native speakers and definitely does not work in literal translations):

Well it taught me the German for "lavatory seat" - that was an unexpected homonymy.

Noch ein blöde Witz:

Was ist das?

DOS ist ein Betriebsystem.

Try it in southern Germany, where the Germanic consonant shift had more effect.

"dos is oan Betriebssystem" = "Das ist ein Betriebssystem" = "Thats an operating system"

Actually, I'd meant to write "DOS ist" instead of "DOS is" (and have now edited my post to correct it).

If I may correct something here.

"Witz" is masculine, "der Witz". And the masculine form of "blöd" would be "blöder", "blöde" is the feminine one which you would use for "blöde Kuh" for example.

But that's the gender of words and that's confusing as hell anyway.

Actually, I think what I'm more getting mixed up is the difference between definite and indefinite forms (der blöde vs. ein blöder), and the fact that to American ears "-e" and "-er" in German sound much the same.
