Do you already have Orbiter experience, without any add-ons? or installed some of the less complex add-ons?

If no, leave Project Apollo be for a moment.

This sounds as if you did not yet read any documentation and also did not play orbiter often enough to know how things work.

because NASSP is a simualtion of Apollo, it is not a "press the button and it goes" therefore, to tell you, would be the same as posting the manual in here.

Now, if there is a specific part of NASSP that you are having issues with we may be able to offer more detailed help.

why cant you just tell me please!!

Because it isn't just said in a single post. The real astronauts needed many weeks of sitting in a NASA class room before they had been able to do the first simulator runs. And many months of repeated simulator runs before they had been ready for the real complete mission. They even did company visits, watching how their spacecraft was developed and assembled, providing feedback, while already learning about the subsystems.

NASSP won't be much simpler to learn. You have to learn what all three astronauts knew. Learn the checklists. Read about the trajectory planning, because you will have no mission control that does that job for you. you should know the spacecraft, and its limitations.

The real astronauts maybe had it much easier than you will have it - for the price that they risked their neck.

From my little experience with NASSP I found out that I have no business in a Saturn V rocket. I have to agree with Urwumpe and say that you need to at least peruse the table of contents in the attached PDF and read the pertinent chapters. As you probably guessed, if one is talking about chapters, then the MOD is pretty involved. And it is. It's a reasonably accurate facsimile of the Apollo experience, switch flipping and all. Which means check lists, programming ancient and clunky (simulated) computers, and systems knowledge.

Just launching the rocket requires a number of checklist items.

In any case, you need to read the documentation in order to enjoy the fruits of the authors' hard work.

Again, I'll back Urwumpe's vast experience by saying if you are new to Orbiter, leave NASSP alone until you have at least traveled to the moon and back in a Delta Glider.

Mods like NASSP are not for those seeking instant gratification. Joy comes from the completion of the mission after hours of study, preparation and practice.

I've been playing at Orbiter for years and I have yet to complete a NASSP mission myself since I have not invested the time to read and re-read the manual, print off checklists and practice switch flipping (all necessary for success IMHO).

One day perhaps.

Hope this helps.

If all you want to do is watch a Saturn V launch, then perhaps you should get AMSO, as that has an automatic mode. You can also control it, and is much easier than NASSP. If thats what you are after, here is the download link.

Somewhere, but not here.
I have to agree with everybody.

I had a hard time learning the basics, but I kept learning until I got better. I think that's how everybody else on the forum had to go through to become the way they are today.

When I downloaded NASSP, it was hard, oh yes was it hard; but I did all I could to help myself.

I've also learned that doing things yourself is better than people doing it for you. you feel better that way.

Good luck, You'll need it.

It's not something that can be explained inside the confines of a forum message. NASSP is a very complex addon. You might want to start with something simpler. AMSO is another Apollo addon that has stunning visual elements and it's much easier to fly.

Your English seems fine, and better than most teenagers here who speak it (sort of) as a primary language, but here is an acronym for you. RTFM...

[R]ead
[T]he
[F]ull, fine, fantastic, (place any particular f-word here)
[M]anual

NASSP is not an add-on for new Orbitnauts, my family heard me loose a string of foul words in an extremely clever way once when I missed a section of the checklist...
If you want to get to the moon quick, try AMSO, and you will still need to RTFM, even then, but it a much more user friendly way to go.

Here is another manual for you "Go Play In Space", it is VERY well written for new Orbiteers. I'd venture to guess that 90% of us here on the forum have a copy either on our hard drive, or a "hard copy" stuck in a binder for quick reference.

Keep in mind when you ask use questions here, many of us will go to great lengths to assist you, but you need to know a little about what you are asking. The manuals and tutorials will assist you in getting a question phrased where we can properly answer for you.

Don't give up! Keep trying with NASSP, but the only way through it is the manual.
