I always hated all that Let's Play video, but I just love this guys... I watched both this and Papers Please last evening, guess which two games I played all night...

I followed a lonely "west coast, near US border" Canadian highway for hours,
just to find out that it's Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. facepalm
Ketchikan, Alaska and Honokaa, Hawaii were way to easy. Honestly, you have way too much flags .

I try and cross check all the Street names and Shop names with google maps...generally I can get a feel for what continent it is by looking at the license plate holder (You yokels in Europe have reaaaaally big ones).

We've been playing in our office a lot the last week and a half. I'm kind of hooked on it; have followed far too many highways in Scandinavia

I got 10847 the second time. I'm proud that I was basically in the right nations, I just plopped the balloons roughly. (One was in Sweden, one was in Finland, kind of plopped both in between, and plopped another in USA when I intended Canada)

As for my first attempt, well, I'm going to start filing endless dirt roads as Australia from now on.

10,419 points the first time. Got lucky with a location in London and another near Austria, but the very first one was an absolute bear to get right (it was a logging road somewhere in NE Australia; no signs within reasonable sight).

How often I ended up going for Washington or Oregon while it was Nova Scotia, the moment when you just want to...

In my interpretation it's OK to google signs and use Google maps without going into StreetView mode. Although you're only allowed to follow one direction for roughly one kilometer.


@Scruce: I'm having problems to differ between US and Australia. Well built roads, desert, english, right-hand-traffic.
So unless you find road signs...

Highest i got was 11068.
Once mistaken Australia for Africa, once confused Algeria and Jordan, but other than that i'm usually guessing at least the continent right...
If there are signs, then guessing a country is usually easy.
Worst ones are when it's a featureless road in the middle of a featureless forest, or some featureless village in the middle of featureless siberia.

So I was at a panorama with some mountains and tourists, but I couldn't move anywhere (it wasn't a road).

How was I supposed to know it was at South Korea?

The closest was point C, because there was a sign that said "Muncho Lake Tours".

Also E, because separate signs said "Marshall County" and "(State Route) 310".

(obvious clue: water tower that says South Padre Island)
