    Orbiter V2 Wishlist?

y'know KSP also started out as an thread on O-F, so no pressure ;p I'd love to see flexibility like this extended to solar systems - Orbiter already has this to an extent but implementing high-res planetary textures and terrain elevation from scratch isn't exactly straightforward (perhaps...

Coming in September :D I really love Bethesda and I've been borderline addicted to everything they've worked on since Morrowind (sans Fallout 76 - but we don't talk about that one), but then I remember that the last space game I've been hyped for was Mass Effect Andromeda... so yeah. I'll try...

Lizard spaceship: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/g0JYRE We got docking support and terrain elevation - this thing was obviously made for Orbiter.

Gaming Kerbal Space Program 2 (currently in Early Access)

Far better modding support alone makes it worth going for PC over Xbox. While you can mod Bethesda games on consoles as well now, you're basically limited to Bethesda.net selection (which is minuscule compared to the stuff you'll find on Nexus Mods) and you don't have access to script extenders...

Finally - a worthy match for X-Plane wing flex!

Gaming Kerbal Space Program 2 (currently in Early Access)

I just find this development somewhat ironic given how much emphasis they put during the (very long) marketing campaign on this one being even more accessible to masses in terms of tutorials and general gameplay design - and then they drop recommended requirements that less than 5% of potential...

I feel like those requirements are a bit on the uh... excessive side? Admittedly, I'm out of the loop when it comes to what improvements KSP2 will bring over the first one, but even top-tier AAA games released these days are well below those specs - especially in GPU department.

Software Orbiter w/ D3D9 not working on Laptop

You can check easily if Orbiter is indeed using your dedicated GPU by opening up the task manager and seeing if there's any load on it while it's running (under the Performance tab - should be GPU 0 and GPU 1). And AFAIK the NVIDIA Control Panel doesn't determine which GPU is used any longer...

I feel sorry for the victim of course and the engineers who poured all the time and effort into that project, but I've honestly never seen something so hideous that it actually feels good to watch it get destroyed. Piasecki Helicopter in general appears to have been quite talented at designing...

    Roadmap proposal - Orbiter development

You can inject SSAO using GemFX or ReShade and it improves the visuals quite a bit (especially in VC) - the downside is that it screws with 2D panels and its MFDs as it adds depth to the whole scene and doesn't distinguish between 2D and 3D elements, so you end up with a ghosting effect on...

    New Release D3D9Client Development

Small showcase of the new atmosphere model at different altitudes with all three Earth visual configs (Default, 10_Ratio, and Hazy - in that order): One thing I'd like to add regarding the sun glare: currently it appears to emphasize the background stars in its vicinity; I'm not an expert on...

    News Roscosmos News

I don't know what's funnier - Dimon's campaign of warmongering reaching its climax through a shrapnel wound in the ass at some party, or the depressing lack of creativity in your rhetoric. Even a yogurt left for ten months now would've developed a rich enough culture that doesn't have to resort...

    Launch News Vega-C VV22 - Pléiades NEO 5 & 6 (Launch failure)

That broadcast host was uh... interesting. I'm guessing she wasn't provided with any scripts for situations like this, so poor David got the short end of stick. 'Well, it was a very spectacular liftoff'

I like to visit ArtStation from time to time to check on cool art from industry professionals and hobbyists alike, and apparently artists are raging against the machine now; so aside from usual anime tiddies, the average front page is now dominated with images like these: It all started a...
