Problem SLS & LOP-Gateway quicksaves not loading when taken far from Earth

Well, it's not in there but if you start from the working one and just advance time until getting out of Earth SOI then the resulting quicksave will no more work. In it every moving entry will be orbiting the Sun but the one outlined above, which would be (improperly?) orbiting Earth.

Problem SLS & LOP-Gateway quicksaves not loading when taken far from Earth

Thanks for the tip, but I could not find any "offending" entry in the scenario. I ended up with removing almost everything. What I found strage is that SLSCOREEM1C:Stage is still orbiting Earth while it should be orbiting Sun when far from Earth SOI. Could it be the culprit...

Problem SLS & LOP-Gateway quicksaves not loading when taken far from Earth

Hi, with the addon in title I'm having constant CTDs from quicksaves taken far from Earth. I can get working saves when in LEO for instance, but not after having traveled to the Moon. Both with DX9 and stock Orbiter clients. I'm attaching here the working and not-working saves and logfiles if...

News Ethiopian 737 crashed on way to Kenya, 157 people on-board

Very very bad luck for Boeing it happened to one of the few circulating MAX and only for transfer purposes!

News Ethiopian 737 crashed on way to Kenya, 157 people on-board

Correct, 737 Max does not have FBW.

News Ethiopian 737 crashed on way to Kenya, 157 people on-board

Agree, but it's difficult to talk about maintenance in both cases of four months old machines.. Ok, Indonesian pilots were not trained enough to take the right countermeasures, but what happened here? Shouldn't the experienced pilot (12 yrs of 737 plus aware of the Indonesian accident) know what...

News Ethiopian 737 crashed on way to Kenya, 157 people on-board

Lion Air 610 was a Max 8 as well, anyway all Maxes have the same avionics and systems including the MCAS which was found to be what triggered the events chain in the LionAir accident. Here, looking at the altitude vs. speed and v/s profile of today's crash on FR24 it appears to be pretty much...

Flight Question Optimal ascent vertical launch

@Ripley many thanks for the vid I'll have a look at it. @francisdrake thank you, that kind of tweaking to the autopilot is what I was looking for, I'll have to get the feeling of how many degrees off the plane to direct the AP after launch. I believe it must be proportional to the offset of the...

Flight Question Optimal ascent vertical launch

Hi, I'm trying to minimize ISS interception times in a Falcon9 scenario launch. If I follow the rule of the half orbit time in LaunchMFD, I may end up with a perfectly aligned plane but pretty much distant from the target. Instead if I launch close to the ISS transit above the site I may end up...

    Scenario ISS actual position

Maybe it's pure chance but I've inserted the farthest prediction by NASA (Feb 22nd to date) and I've actualized data up to Mar 2nd 7:48 UTC and below is what I get. Just in time to bring RInc close to zero. Cool.

    Scenario ISS actual position

The farthest prediction on that site is: Maybe it's worth picking this up.

    Scenario ISS actual position

It would be interesting to see how Orbiter predictions about ISS position match DM1 launch window now listed as 07:48 UTC (02:48am EST) on March 2nd.

    Scenario ISS actual position

Hi, I'd like to simulate the SpaceX DM-1 launch taking place on 3rd March (to date). What I'd liketo do is to predict the position of ISS for that day and set in on a particular L39A Falcon9 scenario. I read somewhere that it has to do with inserting the actual TLE coordinates. It that possible...

Back to Orbiter after a while

Hello folks I'm Cristiano, 45 from Venice Italy, back to Orbiter after several years of atmospheric flight only. I come from the flight sim world (X-Plane), active member of the .Org forum and moderator of x-plane.it italian forum. To me 2019 is crucial for space exploration since there's going...

Flight Question Moon to ISS direct

Thank you David for the great video. I'm a fan of your series! I can't use TransX though, so is there a way to manage the flight with IMFD? Thanks.
