For some reason volumetric clouds seem to be in the process of being implemented in a lot of sims/flying games recently - just MSFS2020, DCS and Star Citizen all within a year.
A colleague spent a day looking for a certain type of industrial main power switch (the rotating red-yellow thing seen on electrical cabinets) - this is the type of component that is normally really easily found.
EDIT: I forgot to add - in the end no switch could be found and we ended up...
Barring feature recognition against a known map, I'm not sure what the options are.
This both for position determination and attitude determination near the surface without using stars.
This also means that no "cheap" quadcopter which relies on a magnetometer and GPS would be able to fly...
