I wish it was mine, but sadly, no.
It used to belong to the Aviation Flight school at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana. Their flight school's fleet is based at the airport in Lawrenceville, IL. Classroom/Ground School instruction is given at the University campus in Vincennes.
In the Spring of 2001 they had an open house for those interested in the Aviation Flight program. My wife and I attended, and after a short lecture about the program, were taken on an introductory flight. The plane was a Grumman-American Tiger, tail number N122VU, or "number 22," as the instructor called it (22 painted on the bottom of the cowl). A few years later, the University updated their fleet and sold their remaining Tigers. N122VU is now privately registered, but apparently still bears the same markings and paint scheme. My avatar is derived from a photo I found last week of the plane departing an airport sometime in 2010.
