Two things from yesterday: 1. Docking a shuttle-derived orbiter to the ISS, switching focus to the ISS itself, and transitioning from the ISS's CBM through Constitution's extendable docking port ostensibly enables M.C. Escher mode. 2. Someone has brought to our attention that there is a size...

I originally pictured the XR5 being the, well, Airbus A350-sized (and weighted) 'next generation' of that orbiter so . . . yes. The idea of the Shuttle 'handing off the baton' just kinda came to me for that first mission, and I like it a lot. :)

Just some doodling I've done recently in my alt-universe space program. Patch art and concept idea for SEP-001, Constitution's first official flight:

The good: SEP-021. Tuesday, May 21, 2024. 02:30 UTC. SDO-201 'Enterprise' has spent four years and 48 days in administrative and operational limbo pursuant to its previous involvement in the SEP-010/SEP-010b debacle of 2020. After Constitution's own four-year-long heavy check at Edwards Air...

What do you do for a living?

I now work on jets under the supervision of certificated mechanics. Primarily Airbus family and some Boeing if the work flow dictates. And I'm well on my way of becoming certificated as well. @n122vu, I'm glad you're doing well. What you said hits pretty close to home for me as well.

What do you do for a living?

I'll chime in. Years ago I lemminged my way through a questionable for-profit educational institution. The purpose was to gain professional validation and an 'in' doing infrastructure work, but the credentials I earned ended up being worth less than the paper it was printed on (with the added...

Hi folks, Many may remember the series of blogs in prose form I did years ago regarding the Space Exploration Program, the Shuttle Derived Orbiters Constitution and Enterprise and the ever-so-stuck-in-my-head characters like Jamie Cunningham, Brian Adkinson, Svetlana Zaytseva, Anthony Downs and...
