    Question Attitude Control MFD

Are there any MFDs which allow for better attitude control holding? Currently, with stock instrumentation, we can command our ship to hold attitude at Normal, Anti-Normal, Pro-grade and Retrograde, but there is no command to hold attitude at Radial or Anti-Radial, which is highly important...

    Calculating Maximum Payload to Orbit

If I have a booster with a set amount of Delta-V, say, 11,000m/s. And I want to figure out how much mass I can put on the top of it and still have the 9,000m/s of Delta-V required to get into orbit. What is the exact mathematical equation to figure this out. There doesn't seem to be a single...

    Scenario Gemini 11 Rendezvous Scenarios

There's no launch autopilot? That's kind of a drag.. :(

    General Question Orbital decay

You can also get your orbit to perturb realistically if you turn: Nonspherical gravity sources, Radiation Pressure, Gravity Gradient torque ON in the parameters tab in the Orbiter Launchpad startup. It makes things a bit harder, as your active vessel or target orbit keeps changing -- but it's a...

Flight Question Launch heading to ISS rendezvous

I didn't want to make another thread for this because it's somewhat on the same topic, but I was a little curious about the inclination of the Space Station in orbiter. In Orbiter, it's inclined at over 70 degrees. But Wikipedia says the real ISS has an orbital inclination of ~51?

Flight Question Launch heading to ISS rendezvous

Thanks everyone. I started launching into a 43 degree heading and usually have less than a degree of relative inclination to null between DGIV and ISS by the time I reach orbit. Just did two successful rendezvous missions to the ISS in a row.

Flight Question Launch heading to ISS rendezvous

What is a preferable launch heading to launch into the orbit of the International Space Station and when (on my MFD's orbit track view) should I actually lift off? I'm using the Delta-Glider IV. My friend and I were previously using a launch heading of 42 degrees but I'm not sure whether to...

Flight Question launching the space shuttle

I can help with this. Recently I've been piloting the shuttle into orbit a lot. Your use of the word "apoapsis" and other things makes me think you played Kerbal Space Program before this. First, you have to see that an Earth orbital launch is *much* different from KSP. I like to pitch over...

Hey Orbiter players -- I can make you tear your hair out.

So if you play Orbiter all the time, you probably are really familiar with this music... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MYzkBiJn5Y What do you think? Do you like this song being in Orbiter?

General Question Using the "Ground Observer" camera view?

I am about to launch another mission -- but I was wondering how to get to the "Ground Observer" camera view so I could watch it from the ground. It doesn't seem to exist in this scenario (AMSO) -- as I can only see "Global Frame" "Target Relative" and "Absolute Direction"/

Bug NASSP Lunar Module instrument panel doesn't exist.

I am currently in orbit around the moon with the lunar module in NASSP, but I can only see the exterior view and the regular Orbiter MFDs. I can't go "inside" the LM at all and use the panels.

Question Project Apollo NASSP - Has it been updated to fix the broken scenarios?

Oh okay, cool. You know, when you finish the LM I think you guys should do something like this. Sell the checklists in replica NASA format so people could buy them and do the mission without relying on the MFD checklist.

Question Project Apollo NASSP - Has it been updated to fix the broken scenarios?

Basically the title covers it. I wanted to know if NASSP has been updated to have the other missions and scenarios that are currently broken in my version. All I have is Apollo 8 and Apollo 7.

General Question Who wants to write a flight plan with NASSP together?

So is there anyone out there with NASSP that would like to write up a big, detailed flight plan and a bunch of procedures for a mission and then make it into a PDF like NASA? I think it would be fun.

Question Project Apollo checklist and automatic switches for Apollo 8?

I'm playing NASSP -- the Apollo 8 Flight Plan Scenario (All the others beside Apollo 7 are broken...) and I noticed that the game keeps flipping all the switches for me. Why is it doing this and how can I get it to stop so I can perform the tasks in the checklist?
