Hello Forum, For practice I made a PD loop which is supposed to control the acceleration of the spacecraft. My problem with the loop is, that the throttle stutters back and forth between no thrust and full thrust. I'm not sure what the problem is, maybe someone can give a hint? PD_loop.lua...

Thanks for posting this. It has mixed reviews so far, some hybrid of Fleet Command and Dangerous Waters. Not being able to give direct orders for navigating the ship and having to finetune it yourself seems very odd.

IMFD has a very useful map on which you can see your planned and current flight path and automated burn assistant. TransX is better suited for (multiple) fly-by maneuvers. There a good tutorials for TransX on http://flytandem.com/orbiter/index.htm I've been using both MFD's simultaneously...

About the IP: would it make sense to add a docking port to the gateway so that the MFD can clearly identify which vessel is to be teleported? Can the vessel be teleported to the docking port of the target gateway and be undocked automatically after the teleport?

The Eris Explorer apparently has multiple balloon probes to be dropped. Maybe this will get you started, I haven't tried this addon yet so cannot comment on the probes characteristics.

I was struggling with IMFD's offset as well when trying to get to an L4, maybe the thread to EML4 with IMFD course offset can help you if you have not reviewed it already.

Okay, it is harder than I imagined. Setting up a sort of Hohmann transfer in IMFD to meet the target more or less at its apoapsis gets me not even close to the target. Next I have tried to meet the target at its periapsis inside Earth's SOI also with IMFD which was equally unseccessful...
