MFD v2.0
User's Manual
Info
This is updated version recompiled by Hispaorbiter. It should work with systems other than XP now.
1. Instalation
Copy AttachmentMen.dll to [Orbiter main folder]\Modules\Plugin\.
Run Orbiter, on Modules tab select AttachmentMen and
click Activate selected.
2. Using Attachment Menagement MFD
Example uses "DGT in orbit" scenario from DGTransport pack.
When the simulation is running, press SHIFT+N
to open Attachment Menagement MFD (if MFD didn't open, press SHIFT+Q
first to close current MFD).
You should see something similiar to the picture.
Now, you want to use your ship as a parent, and the target will be a child.
Set mode to Parent to Child using SHIFT+M.
Pressing SHIFT+M would set you back to Child to Parent mode.
If there are any Parent attachment points on your vessel, you
should see Attachment point status line. If there is anything attached to
selected point, OCCUPIED text will be displayed. When you release the
child, it will switch to FREE.
You can cycle through Source points using SHIFT+S.
Set source point back to 0.
To cycle through target vessels, use SHIFT+T.
If target vessel have child attachment points, you'll see
Distance line. It displays distance beetween source and target att. points
in meters.
Set target to "MightyProbe".
You can cycle through target att. points using SHIFT+Y.
Set target attachment point to 0.
Distance display will show 0.00. It means that this
att. point is attached to source one.
Now, detach child from Source point. Press SHIFT+A.
Payload has been jettinsoned. You'll now see ATTACH
POSSIBLE line. It will be displayed all time when distance is smaller than
0.5 m and both att. points are empty (nothing is attached to them).
If ATTACH POSSIBLE line is still displayed, press SHIFT+A
again. In case you flown away to much, use RCS to get closer to the Probe. Try
again.
When target was attached, you should see something like the
previous picture.
