Add-on for Orbiter2016

REQUIREMENTS

INSTALLATION
Extract all files to the root of your Orbiter2016 program directory, preserving the directory structure. This should NOT overwrite anything in the standard Orbiter package.


WHAT'S IN THIS ADD-ON?
The Hera, Milani and Juventas spacecraft, asteroid Didymos and its moonlet Dimorphos.
Launch and post-launch scenarios in "Hera" folder.

Scenarios use custom Solar system config file "Sol_HERA.cfg" which includes default Orbiter2016 planets and Didymos/Dimorphos.


MISSION
ESA mission to investigate the effects of DART impact with Dimorphos.

TIMELINE
2024-Nov   : DSM-1
2025-Mar   : Mars flyby (~6000 km from Mars, ~1000 km from Deimos) 
2026-Feb   : DSM-2
2026-Oct   : Rendezvous maneuver
Late 2026  : Didymos/Dimorphos system arrival

3-axis balanced RCS for rotation and translation (significant cosine losses)
Main engine 60N (6 x RCS)
Momentum wheels for rotation (3-axis).
Milani and Juventas cubesats stowed for deployment at Didymos
Solar arrays auto sun-tracking after deployment
Lidar visual representation ;-)

Controls:
G = Deploy Solar Arrays
J = Deploy Milani (0.1m/s velocity +Z)
K = Deploy Juventas (0.1m/s velocity +Z)
Alt+NumPad = Momentum Wheel rotation control
Alt+NumPad5 = Momentum Wheel Kill-Rotation
B = Lidar On/Off
