Jupiter flyby scenareos and enhancements for the Jovian moons. Designed for the Voyager 1 Grand Exploration Addon for Orbiter. What makes the scenario in this addon unique compaired to the included scenarios supplied in the VOYAGER addon is because the scenario uses real world data supplied by NASAs Solar System Dynamics website at http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/. Using data supplied from this source and an Orbiter Orbit Elements Calculator addon recently released by Tony, we now have an addon that puts your flyby experiance the way it really happened. The moons Io, Europa, Ganymeade, and Callisto have been updated with NASA Horizons data and are now exactly where they should be when the flyby takes place March 5, 1979.
As an added bonus, the 4 stock moons in Orbiter has been upgraded to level 7 textures! The flyby of Io is particularly stunning. If you want to view the other moons, you can use the F1 function in Orbiter and choose which moon to view. (See Orbiter documentation for use of this function)
This scenario starts you out at about 2 months, 5 days from the encounter. Jupiter is a tiny dot in a black cosmos. You could run it any way you wish. If you wish to ride out the entire 2 months/5 days wait, you can do so, but if you're not into waiting, then knocking the speed of Orbiter to 10,000x accelleration, you get there in about 20 minutes. Either way, you're in for a treat when you get there.
