I use Manjaro with Wayland (KDE) and the OpenGL client works fine. Have you tried looking for the Orbiter log (Orbiter.log) in /tmp?

I'm also looking at Multistage2026 (with fear), I have a lot of work to do but time is elusive, sorry community.
