This sounds like some of add-ons isn't cleaning after itself when the simulation ends, but expects the Orbiter process to respawn instead of deallocating memory (i.e. a workaround would be 2nd option in "Extra" > "Debugging options" > "Orbiter shutdown options").
The first issue is incorrect version of the D3D9Client used in Orbiter 2010-P1. I think you used the graphics client for Orbiter 2016 in Orbiter 2010-P1, and they aren't compatible.
The second issue is I'm not exactly sure what, but there should be an error code logged in Orbiter.log next to...
Nah, for as long as nobody will want discuss the politics behind these decisions I see no reason for descending there. Of course if someone wants to discuss that, The Basement is open for duplicated topics and another kind of discussion inside them.

I wonder why? I was never advertised as having SSL (and nginx is listening for it only on port 80). The self signed certificate has been used mainly for admin e-mail accounts.

The D3D11 client hasn't been updated to work with Orbiter 2016. If you want to use D3D11 graphics client you need Orbiter 111105.
You should try D3D9 client instead, which has been updated for the newest Orbiter version.
I'm not aware of problems Imageshack might be experiencing (a Google search from the past 24 hours doesn't return anything about it).
I can only tell that if some of my images will disappear from the forum, it will mean Dropbox got rid of the public directory feature (direct linking was the...
