@Urwumpe Now that I am at home and looking at those sprint/spartan launch site pics on a bigger screen then my cell phone. It almost seems like I should model both Sprint and Spartan missile also. It does not seem right to model one and not the other :hmm:
Well for now I am going to use the...
so I am here at work on my lunch hour and I got to thinking. I was pondering on the idea to use Orbiter base maker for sprint missile base. If I remember correctly you can assign your own meshes. And as long as it is modeled correctly (axis below surface) it would work as a base. Then assigning...
Well I didnt have alot of time after work. But I managed to do this in an hour. Very basic mesh and put it into orbiter. I laughed when I first saw it in orbiter. here are some pics
the bottom pic is under the surface. So what do you guys think? Should I keep going?
well from the images I have looked at really there isn't to much above the ground other then a dome. If you guys have anything in particular that you would like to see I am open for ideas.
Well I can make a silo if that is what you guys prefer. Ill get started on it. Only thing is...and the reason I did not make a silo version is how will that look in orbiter? Is it cool enough that people will like it under the surface. But in any regard practice makes perfect. So with that said...
It can be launched from silo. But I chose this launcher to sharpen my Modeling skills. More of a challenge for me.
EDIT: The Zip file is just to get it into orbiter to view. The config file is just a dummy and there are no textures. I used DXD9 client to view it. File size is a little big. But...
SSU Team members give Urwumpe a shout. I think Its Urwumpe,DaveS,siamesecat (not sure about Kwan though)
DanSteph I would do first because he is really active right now with the new website and all
WeHaveAProblem is active http://www.orbiter-forum.com/member.php?u=827...
I seem to remember a tool that removes all Nvidia drivers and traces from a computer that I used to fix a friends computer after he updated to wrong driver. The nvidia drivers although appeared to be uninstalled they were not. I ran the tool rebooted and then re-installed everything from...
Overheating of Ram could also be a cause. Dust acts like an insulator raising temerature and causing random memory errors. Take stick(s) out of their slots and re-seat them. Then as Dbeachy said run a memtest.
I would like to see interviews with Face,WeHaveAProblem,Harvester,MartinS,Artlav,Dan Steph,And a Group interview with the SSU team
Face: his brilliant coding skills and OMP project as well as all other projects he has had a hand in making.
WeHaveAProblem: Wideawake and future plans
Harvester...
I will go ahead and finish it this weekend. I will upload it and anybody can do whatever they want to with it after that. I just like to finish what I start. If it gets used fine....if it don't that's fine to. I am working on the launcher
I love the detail Dave. I myself, as a wanna-be modeler, look at your models and think to myself... Damm! I wish I could model like he does. Nice work as always.
Well when I sent you the pm everything WAS working and appeared stable. Then display driver started freaking out and recovering. It now happens without streaming. Crashes on startup now. going to do a reboot. The run.log shows no errors
