    Skylab 1973 rebuild

Skylab have multiple onboard CMGs for orientation and stationkeeping, which are installed on the Apollo Telescope Mount Right after the sunshields are installed, the station is always in the sun-oriented position

    Skylab 1973 rebuild

Yes. The remaining solar array was jammed shut shortly after launch. The other one was blown away by the S-II stage's retrothrusters. It was only on June 6, 1973 when the Skylab 2 astronauts did a spacewalk to finally free the jammed array

    Skylab 1973 rebuild

Last year, I've created scenarios of Skylab in the correct orbital position at the time, based on existing archival TLE data. Here's the repost of the ZIP file

    Request Artemis landers

Both companies have their HLS programs hidden partially from the public knowledge. So far (as for Starship) it needs to fly right first, meanwhile surprisingly Blue Origin's New Glenn is practically ready. We have yet to see the hardware for their Pathfinder mission, but I do give higher hopes...

    Request Artemis landers

Any further HLS designs would only fly after Artemis 5, since all those missions have already secured HLS contracts to SpaceX and Blue Origin: Artemis 3 = Starship HLS Artemis 4 = Starship HLS Artemis 5 = Blue Moon HLS I do not know anything about Starship HLS's current progress or status, but...

    Request Artemis landers

Blue Origin is planning to send an uncrewed version of their HLS Blue Moon as part of the CLPS program, the Blue Moon Pathfinder mission. Launch from a New Glenn (Flight 2?) is expected to be NET August 2025

At least Vulcan demonstrated engine out capability with SRBs lol

    Request Firefly Aerospace Blue Ghost

Since we have Peregrine and Nova-C available to fly on Orbiter, I'd like to request an add-on for Firefly's Blue Ghost lander, where (on its first mission) it achieved the first fully successful American lunar landing since Apollo 17 in 1972.

    Discussion Buran anniversary.

It's impressively nice to see how similar yet different the interior cockpits of Buran compared to the Shuttle were, and how I wish the actual orbiter that flown to space survived its hangar collapse in 2002

Launch News Lunar lander double bill 15th Jan.

    IM-2 has ended its mission prematurely around 00:15 CST (08:15 UTC) on 8 March 2025: https://www.intuitivemachines.com/im-2 https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/nasa-receives-some-data-before-intuitive-machines-ends-lunar-mission/

Problem Delta III SRMs and Faring not appearing

I presume this is my 2016 addon you're using. You need the Velcro Rockets addon by sputnik for the fairings to work, then do the following note (also posted on its addon description): For the boosters, they were originally the same code as the old Delta II (2010) addon, but since those files...

Vessel Commerical LEO destinations and other space stations

New render of the Axiom space station And it looks like the PMA-2 is no longer required to be relocated as it could be attached to Harmony's nadir CBM port Assembly sequence HD

    Project VulcanCentaur

I keep forgetting that Orion EFT-1 doesn't have a live service module attached. I guess, if ever Vulcan Centaur is used for Orion, the spacecraft would not be fully fueled (like the Apollo CSM and Saturn 1B combination) to be able to go to LEO. But yeah, I don't think Orion would be ever used...

    Project VulcanCentaur

Huh. That's weird. Iirc the Vulcan Centaur is more powerful than a Delta IV-Heavy, yet the latter managed to lift the first Orion to orbit back in 2014.

    Project VulcanCentaur

I mean we do have a complete Orion and LES spacecraft already as a mod, in addition to an SLC-41 launch complex with a crew-access tower (for Starliner), the only way to do now is find a way to mount it on the Vulcan Centaur rocket

    Project VulcanCentaur

Found a concept art depicting Orion MPCV launching on top of Vulcan Centaur Would be a fun mission to fly now that there are reports of the SLS potentially about to get cancelled by Boeing
