ORBITER-FORUM will be temporarily closed at 2026-07-23 18:00 UTC while we complete some OF maintenance tasks. The amount of downtime is expected to take up to one hour, but probably less.
In a word. Practice.
Seriously though, that's all there is to it. Master one of the basics, then move to the next task. I've been using this sim for years, starting with the '05 to '06 change-over. And I'll still load up the stock DeltaGlider and do touch and go flights from KSC just to get...
Cool, glad you worked through it (it is rocket science after all) :)
As far as people not responding, sometimes they don't have anything to offer, so they don't say anything  And then sometimes it's the way the question was formed (like do you even English bro?) A lot of this...
If you are using the Soyuz (by Igel) 1.0.2016xxx then W-A-S-D are your translation thrusters. The numpad keys only do rotation.
I ran just that scenario, it seems like the two craft (ISS and Soyuz) aren't particularly sync'd very well. DTMin was over 10. and the Soyuz was leading the ISS in...
What is the specific add-ons that you are using, and what scenario?
The reason I ask is there are several Soyuz add-ons to choose from, most act similarly but some have more realism than others. FWIW, I've alway found the Soyuz challenging. The RCS pulses instead of being constant. It took me...

For translation anyway, The numpad still should control roll, pitch and yaw (toggled using the [/] key)
As far as the view inside, you need to use the periscope view [C] and [Shift][C] to toggle one view from another.

It loses a lot (and I mean a lot) without voice commentary or hearing the sounds of freedom.[COLOR="Red"]
Don't know why the 'Chickens are so far ahead of everyone else though (ain't like they're special or anything) I mean, we all know what flight demonstration...
Hey dude, sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Looking through your Orbiter logs doesn't reveal anything particular about your problem.

I didn't have LaunchMFD installed on my Orbiter, so I got it (along with Hud Drawer) and it's not working for me either. This was on Orbiter...
Excellent! Major objective achieved! After all this time I still remember how pleased I was when I first managed to dock to the ISS.
Your fun is only beginning.
Not impossible, it just takes practice. And if you follow the video from Tex, be sure to open the nosecone prior to docking
Like I mentioned above, run the Shuttle-A scenario where you are already docked. Undock and back away. Then translate forward and dock again. Do that a few...
ISS 3.2 Just a moment...
A-Z Just a moment...
As far as which Orbiter version is best, they should all work. What do you mean by "disarray"?
I typically run Orbiter 2016, but I do still use 2010 for several things. And even run 2006 on occasion.
Try the scenario with the Shuttle-A "ISS...
Ah you are trying to rotate the ISS? If you are using the stock ISS that comes with Orbiter, the short answer is, you can't (without some modifications). You have to maneuver your craft to match it.
If you get the CMG addon (it has dependencies, so you'll need those as well), then you can...
Are you using a laptop? Just curious...
If you have a "conventional" desktop keyboard, the numpad [/] key (above the [8]) toggles between translation mode and rotation mode.
No boom today. Boom tomorrow.
There's always a boom tomorrow.
;)
But seriously. I'm at work atm. I'll check it out in the am when I get home.
