Thanks for the reply, yes, animations work great, also, I've found that if I leave the HUD off (IE, focusing on a different vessel), then I can F1 on them, but they will crash if I turn the HUD back on, but that's OK, I can still use the MFDs, no need for the hud. Are they your modules, or...
Quick question, if anyone can help, I'm testing a scenario where I launch the ISSR/Zarya as a payload, everything is working fine, but the problem is that when I hit F1 on Zarya, I get a crash to desktop, is there any way to jump into the standard orbiter HUD in that vessel ? other vessels have...
Thanks to @gattispilot who sent me the Generic Vessel I was able to launch this beautiful ISS rendition. Want to quickly give anyone who is intrested some pointers on how to update orbital parameters with real time TLE data:
Requirements: @Ajaja 's Scenario Editor TLE addon...
Hello again @Max-Q Here is an updated mesh / textures for the ISS.
A few notes:
1. The current iss_03.dss file is a 8K texture file, I've also included a 4K version (files will have to be renamed). Reason for this, is that the section for the docking target is too small to obtain a good...
@Max-Q Quick question, since you have been working with textures and stuff more than I, how can I get rid of the mirror efect on the surfaces ? Check attached picture... I've tried a few settings in blender, but they don't seem to help much...
BTW, screenshot is the generic APAS-95 passive ring...
Hello guys, I'm trying to run the ISS A to Z, and the Thorton's ISS, but I cannot find genercvessel anywhere, anyone is happy to send me that addon, or a link to download ? Thanks.
Hi Max, I got even better results using the blender tools and stencil texture paint, and increasing the texture file size to 8192x8192 (original size is 1024x1024) It looks great, but (there is always a but) the iss_03.dsn file went to around 200Mb :ROFLMAO:
Hi again @Max-Q, got a question about the Canadarm: I've grappled one of the ports on the MBS, and now I see:
LEE2 - Latched
LEE1 - BASE
I want to know if there is any way to switch the BASE to the MBS, so I can un-grapple the other end, and move the arm with the MBS around the place. Can't...
That's cool, in the meantime here is the best result I could get :) The third picture is from a youtube video from the real thing docking :)
Edit: I'm using @GLS SSV for this shoots.
Thanks a lot.
Hi @Max-Q I'm still messing around with textures, but just by chance found this mesh by DaveS
https://www.orbiter-forum.com/resources/generic-apas-95-meshes.1514/
Would it be too hard to use the pasive mesh / texture on the ISS ? same thing that's already happening with the IDAS I guess
Cool, will have a look into it, also will try to improve it, and will submit the result back to you for any future release :) Just realized my rotation left the door upside down comparing it to the real thing, so in fact needs to be rotated 240º (60º + 180º) or 120º to the left, also I left some...
Hi @Max-Q I kinda fixed the rotation issue of the ODS docking port by rotating the DDS image by 60º (not sure if it's 100% aligned though, I think it's still just a hair off... however, I'm not familiar with the DDS format and can't get Gimp to save the file properly, I'm attaching the modified...
Ran a couple more tests, and the scenario works by only removing this vessel:
