It will depend on what your controller IDs are in windows. I dont recall the correct way to look it up, has to do with order of being detected by windows. I would start at 0 and work your way up incrementally to find it. I know thats not the best answer!

I think there are focus options in orbiter and openorbiter, but what you are describing seems to be normal behavior. These questions probably need to be asked in a general orbiter forum and not NASSP at this point.
