Brilliant,
Thanks Brian,
Just checking that there is no Dragon forward main engine to do the circularization, align and sync burns, but I should use the abort engines?
The tip to adjust the inclination during the launch is a big help.
Hi Brian et all,
A few questions on flying the DM-2:
If the alignment with the ISS is off by as much as 1 degree or more, can I align using the Falcon Stage 2, or just the DM-2 capsule?
The hover thrust seems very large. I can lose all the main fuel very quickly.
What is the function of the...
Timing shouldn't matter.
I opened Glideslope on a number of vessels while attached to the ISS, or other locations and can select parameters without issues.
A clean install of Orbiter and double check you have the correct version. ie Glideslope 2016 for Orbiter 2016. How does that go?
Hiya Gattispilot,
So looking forward to your shuttle 2016 release.
Can I test it, or should I wait for the final release?
If it helps, I run Orbiter 2016 under wine on a mac and it works fabulously.
And happy to test things out.

Of course Brian is the best to give the definitive reply.
But if you select the Strongback, you have the following commands available:
[G] = Raise/Lower Gantry
[M] = Water Deluge On/Off
[K] = Night Lights On/Off
[V] = LOX Vent On/Off
[B] = Crew Access Arm Extend/Retract (LC39A)
[N] = Crew...
Hi,
I love new things for Orbiter 2016.
I am trying the X-Pointer MFD out on AMSO for 2016 (LM-CSM docking) and also XR2 to ISS docking.
The graph works fine. But the range reading is about 20 m less that the actual distance (as shown by the Dock MDF). I have both tuned to the same frequency...
Here's a very simple method to run Orbiter 2016 on an older 32 bit Mac IOS, including a laptop.
1. Download Orbiter 2016 zip folder from http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk
2. Download Wine from https://winebottler.kronenberg.org/ (latest stable version)
3. Download DirectX End-User June 2010 from...
Yes, my post may have sounded impertinent to Sir Francis Drake. :embarrassed:
It was only that Francis had commented that passionate, skilled developers were welcome to get involved.
The correct response would be that I should develop my own ability.
Orbiter 2016
This looks spectacular. Would this work in 2016?
If not, is there much to make it so? Not asking for this to be done, just interested in the process. Thanks Orbinauts. How great is this program and community!
Worked great Brian. I used your second method and it changed both the D3D9 orbiter_ng.exe and default orbiter.exe.
What mesh names would be the launch tower?
Thanks heaps.:thumbup:
Water Tank Shadow
Hi Brian et all,
How great is the SpaceX with Orbiter 2016! Thank you so much.
I run it on a mac and it runs fantastic.
Something special about real life spacecraft/rockets.
A tiny, tiny observation Brian. The LC39A water tower has a permanent shadow but also a shadow that...
