Hi Brian,
Hope you are keeping well.
Where do I get the new textures for the LZ in the image that pappy posted in this thread back in Oct 2018. I think I have all your latest SpaceX downloads. If I do a PADVIS 1, I just have the standard textures, no LZ1.
Cheers,
Tony
UPDATE: Found them in...
Andrew, I have just returned to Australia after attending Space Camp in Hunstville, via viewing the Endeavour in California :)
I got to fly the shuttle simulator too.
The Shuttle has a HUD with a small plane symbol in the centre that you chase the moving diamond symbol to stay on glideslope...
Andrew, enjo, pclaurent, if it helps, I confirm the Crew and Cargo Dragon does not display the HUD, like the Deltas. The MFD does control the spacecraft well though after calibration.
Orbiter 2016 with brianj's latest Dragons and enjo's HUDDrawer SDK v.0.4 for Orbiter 2016 (but also winehq and...
Thanks Franz,
I am using Orbiter 2016.
But I am using a mac and running Orbiter with WineHQ.
Thanks for checking this out. It would have to be a processor issue with my mac. I will sort this.
Change of Centre of Gravity causes the service module/capsule combination to jump backwards. Is that...
Brian is the expert on his addon, but if he doesn't mind.
Use the launchpad's "K" manual jettison of 1st stage and fairings (if fitted).
Then fire-up 2nd stage.
"J" key to separate payload from 2nd stage. A little thrust, retrograde burn, and fuel dump "B" for reentry of 2nd stage.
Switch to...
Wow,
Works great Brian.
Mr Steven even has 'restricted in ability to manoeuvre' navigation lights.
Red over white over red;
plus port (red) and green (starboard) steaming lights;
plus white masthead;
and a white stern light is the correct combination.
But this is just being too precise.
The...
The developers like gattispilot offer this sometimes, don't they. I just worked it out myself.
1. Quicksave a scenario you would like to have a launchpad screenshot.
2. Copy and rename the CurrentState.htm and CurrentState.img files to match the scenario.
3. Edit the .htm code (text editor) with...
Hi gattispilot and team, I am running Orbiter on a mac with Wine.
Just loaded the SLS and looking good.
I'll edit this post to let you know everything is working
Thank you
Just took the Orion to the ISS and home :) Only a little learning on multistage 2015 autopilot parameters was needed for...
In case it helps: A little main thrust on the second stage after Dragon jettison helps retrograde positioning for the bigger reentry burn. Then shut-off the engine for a fuel dump and reentry.
From a novice point of view, I have turned off the atmospheric wind effects parameter simply to get the DGIV to run straight down KSC 33 on take off.
Could I change the wind direction to headwind???
Working great Brian.
Falcon autopilot launches to 0.05 relative inclination to the ISS.
Berthing using the Canada Arm is a nice challenge. Have to kill rotate the ISS, take all motion off the Dragon, then work out how to use the Arm joints.
The payload works fine and can be grappled.
I do get...
Thanks Enjo.
Success is when I have a student that can launch manually, circularise, align, synch, approach and dock.
What I have running well:
Vessels/Spacecraft: Atlantis (and all stock vessels), SpaceX (Falcon9, Heavy, BFR), DGIV, XR2, SLS/Orion. Delta.
MFDs: Launch, TransX, HUDDrawer...
