ORBITER-FORUM will be temporarily closed at 2026-07-23 18:00 UTC while we complete some OF maintenance tasks. The amount of downtime is expected to take up to one hour, but probably less.
Just updated the package. Small changes to the README file have been made and I configured better-looking night-lighting for ISS. You can turn the spotlights off by pressing B or change their intensity with J/K. To change the direction of the lighting you have to steer the stanchions or cameras...
WinRAR works fine although it should work with 7-zip also. I wouldn't recommend installing the package by just dragging files it would take forever. "Orbiter Addons Manager" by Abdullah Radwan makes the process so much easier.
This sounds very interesting. I'm sure in the future more complex tasting technology will require more electrodes or even heat to simulate various items on the internet. Maybe even throw in some Machine Learning to program various tastes including food. I definitely can see this beneficial in...
I think what OP is trying to say is there should be a way to make orbiter forums more mobile friendly meaning the content can be structured in a more convenient way. I know you can access orbiter forums on your phone (I am writing this right now on my phone). But on my phone orbiter forums still...
I have thought about this as well. It would be nice if people can access Orbiter-forums on a mobile app so they can view the posts anywhere they go. Although the game itself on a app is a bit unrealistic at this time. If anyone is starting a project on creating an app for orbiter-forums count me...
Can you also include the MBS as is along with the other robotics?? That was one of the other ones. Also where you able to get the night lighting to work?
Hey fred18, also some issues you can possibly fix while creating the unique vessel could be:
- Making sure several parts of the vessel can still be functional on it's own e.g. Dextre, Canadarm, JEMRMS, MBS, Solar Panel deployment, etc.
- Having the spotlights actually reflect the space station...
Just updated the package. Again many thanks to ThBaron for his help. This update now includes experimental scenarios that could possibly make the ISS more usable on lower-end computers (I just deleted some lines in the code). From this point forward I won't be working on the add-on anymore due...
I think it's a great idea to minimize the presence of spacecraft3 into just one vessel. It will make it tremendously easier to include the ISS into other scenario files as well. Unfortunately, my coding experience with the Orbiter interface is not advance at the moment. I don't have many ideas...
