That lease can and will easily be renewed. NASA isn't going to suddenly pull the rug out on SpaceX's only facility where they can presently launch their crew. If I had to guess, Starship HLS will launch from LC-39.

The WDR really seems like an unnecessary step. Wish they'd remove the mass simulator & put Orion/LAS straight into a launch attempt and, should a problem arise, roll it back to the VAB. Else if no problems arise, proceed into terminal count. Reduces the steps to launch while reducing the amount...
Fun fact: Vantablack was actually used on some of the first-gen Starlink satellites to reduce its visible magnitude. Ran into the problems you described.
