Perhaps the release of v1.25 was a headache for you as developers but it wasn't a bad experience for the Orbiteers who used it. It's level of immersion was great :thumbup: That's why we're anxious for SSU's rollout.
The Vessels of 2001 and 2010 Update
This update corrects the orbits of TMA-2 and the derelict Discovery, placing them in prograde orbits for all scenarios. It adds scenarios to allow simulation of Leonov - Discovery docking maneuvers. In adition, it improves Leonov airlock functionality...
Apologies to all. The error log below was generated due to an incomplete copy of my World of 2001 v3.11 installation onto my desktop. Those .dll's were missing but I corrected that.

Well, I took a leap of faith after I saw Orb’s response and downloaded C++ 2008 redistributable on my desktop running Win 7 Pro. It’s a new machine less than 6 or 7 months old. It’s got C++ 2005, 2008, and 2010 redistributables on it now. This is what I get if I try to run Leonov in Earth Orbit...
Renault really needs to up its game. I hear Red Bull has purchased the power unit IP from Renault and is planning to take power unit construction in-house because they're so displeased with Renault's efforts. McLaren/Honda is having a start like Red Bull did last year!!
The problem we ran into is that Orbiter doesn't model the ion flux that degraded the orbit and discolors Discovery. We also looked at the other Lagrange points but L4 was most stable over the duration of the Leonov mission. :tiphat:
Boy does that ever help! Just got home from the office but I'll get on this now. The movie has the Leonov do a flyby of Europa close enough to deploy the probe and pilot it over the surface. Our probe doesn't have enough delta V to make Europan orbit so for our add-on it's just a close approach...
I'm trying to recreate the outbound flight of the Leonov (from the movie 2010) to Jupiter with a near approach to Europa to allow a satellite launch. I can plot and fly an approach to either Jupiter or Europa using TransX with no problem. But if I fly to Jupiter, Europa is too far away for the...
This looks great! I was aware of the C variant after the second DoD launch a few years back. I thought the crew compartment was a payload bay cargo packet and that the payload bay was windowless. The launch vehicle would be an Atlas variant...
We have found a rendering issue in the release of the Vessels of 2001 and 2010 and it's Patch involving the detail of the sidebar in the Leonov's ballute section.
A second patch to address this has been uploaded to Orbit Hangar Mods and the Vessels of 2001 and 2010 package has been updated. If...
The Vessels of 2001 and 2010 Patch II
