Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

I'm working from memory.....UTI>REFSMMAT>Landing Site. The planned landing time was already populated. Hit CLC and then went back and uplinked it as option 2 desired.

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

Just finished LOI-2. Question about the whole LOI-1 and LOI-2 process: on my LOI-1 the flight plan expected the yaw for the burn to be 018, my PAD ended up at 356. Then for LOI-2 the flight plan expected the yaw to be 360, mine was 336. It's like they did the plane change with LOI-1, I did it on...

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

Thanks for explaining. I just came across your thread "Apollo 12 - Experiences, Odds & Ends". Good stuff, but reading through it I feel like I've mistakenly wandered into a NASSP honors class when I was supposed to be in the "NASSP for Dummies" intro course.

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

OK, I saw the ones at 4h and 7h. But I'm at 61h now, and the last DAP change I saw was the one at 7h. It just seems like I changed the DAP more frequently than that on other flights. EDIT: I'm missing something. At 7h they want us to widen the deadband to 30 deg (I guess using the procedure in...

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

Thanks for the flight plan. But I'm not seeing any info on what they wanted the DAP settings to be at different points throughout the flight. Where would I find that?

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

I need to get a better copy of the flight plan! I'm using what looks like the FAO's copy, and all the intro stuff is missing. And the DAP changes for 12 aren't in the main body of the flight plan like they are for other flights (usually in the top left of every page), so I need to get a more...

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

Thanks. I did look at what the MCC-2 values were, and like you said they were a couple fps less. But I was questioning the yaw and wanted to get back on a better trajectory. Just as long as I'm in the ballpark and not eating into my SPS budget too deeply.

Apollo 12 TLI results in large MCC-1?

Hi, I'm running the Apollo 12 mission, and just finished MCC-1 at T+11h 48m. It was a much larger burn than I hoped to see (65.7 fps, using about 1.6% of my SPS fuel). I used option #5 in the RTCC when calculating the MCC. I had a question about the TLI burn. Starting the burn the yaw was...

    Apollo 14: V47 vs. V66 After CSM S.V. Uplink?

Hi, Just completed MCC-6 on my way back to earth, and I have a question... Earlier in the flight after uplinking the CSM S.V. they did a V66 to set it into the LM slot. Now after the CSM S.V. uplink they have us doing a V47 to set the LM S.V. into the CSM slot. Why the difference? Is it...

Apollo LM Ascent: "Zero POS/NEG Cells"?

Hi, Running through the Apollo 14 LM Ascent. A few questions: On the flight plan, at about 140:50 it indicates two uplinks to the LM, the CSM S.V. at liftoff and "Zero POS/NEG Cells" . What should I do for the "Zero POS/NEG Cells" uplink? Also, another V47E 414+1 question: After I do the...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

I'm not a computer guy (in case you haven't gleaned that) but if I understand what's going on in NASSP, you guys have taken the actual code that the CMC and LGC used, modeled the actual RTCC, and somehow figured a way to run it all on Windows. Then added all the systems simulations (which...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

Eureka! I think that was the problem. I'm using an old Dell laptop that performance-wise leaves me yearning for my Commodore 64. It's a Dell 5555 with an AMD A4-7210 processor with integrated AMD Radeon R3 graphics. It's the only PC platform I still own, so the only computer I have that can run...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

Thanks for the saved scenario, but I'm embarrassed to say I forget how to convert the .txt file to a .scn EDIT: Disregard. Figured it out. Your save opened OK, my V83 values and DEDA 317R, 440R, and 277R values agree with each other with your .scn. Now working with your scenario, here's a...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

Great video! Everything you do looks familiar to me through the SV uplinks. I have not been using the RTCC to calculate the K factor. But mine is different, it's 100:00:00.16. Also, every time I hit the KFA button a slightly different K factor shows up, but it's always a small number. I watched...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

Yes, after the uplinks are complete I do V37E00E and wait for the COMP ACTY to go out before proceeding.

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

I go here: https://github.com/orbiternassp/NASSP/releases Then when I unzip I click "yes" to replace files. Before I do the whole Orbiter re-load, here's two screenshots of the RTCC CSM and LM SVs that I'm uplinking, does anything look wrong? Then again, I get the problem when I do the AGS...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

Tried installing the latest NASSP, no joy. I grabbed a few older saves and the problem repeats. I think I'm going to attempt the nuclear option and re-install Orbiter Beta, NASSP et al. Something to occupy me on these quiet summer days.

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

NASSP-V8.0-Beta-Orbiter2016-1898. If I install a more recent version will it make my .scn saves unusable? Yeah, I tried that, same results. I tried different combinations of uplinks before V47 and 414+1; LM SV present time and CSM SV PDI-10, LM SV and CSM SV both present time, LM SV by itself...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

OK I give up. I've run through this numerous times and can't get the initialization to work correctly. I've gone back to other save points after the CSM/LM separation and still can't get it to work. What bothers me is that, using my saved scenario, you're not having the same issue. Which would...

Apollo 14: RTCC LM S.V. and CSM S.V. Update Procedure

I've been waiting for the integration to finish after each SV uplink. (eg. uplink the CSM SV, then when the uplink is complete I go V37E00E and wait (after the CSM uplink it took 103 seconds before P00 kicked in). Then uplink the LM SV, then wait for P00 (this one took 87 seconds). Once that...
