The panels are mostly designed for 16:9 monitors, some are also compatible with 16:10 and 4:3. Other aspect ratios (such as ultra-wide) unfortunately may have the outside view showing at the extremities.
abr35, the following might be what you're experiencing: There is an issue that I have come...
Here is Apollo 12, flown with NASSP 8.0 Beta. I am also using the awesome Apollo 12 landing site textures by 4throck.
The DMT (Detailed Maneuver Table). This display is one of many new features of the RTCC MFD. It simulates a display used by the flight dynamics officer (FIDO) to view...
Thanks for this! Looking to improve some of the landing sites in NASSP. How do I open the user interface in-sim? I am using it with the latest D3D9 as indicated, activated the module and can use the mouse to highlight terrain segments (with the highlighted border) but I can not figure where to...
Welcome to NASSP! I would say Apollo 7 or 8 should be the easiest to fly to start as they only focus on the CSM. The best checklists to use in my opinion is the ones that come with the checklist MFD, they are complete up to Apollo 11 and include everything you need to fly the mission, I'd...
I believe the problem is that your "ProjectApollo" folder in the texture directory of Orbiter Beta, where your NASSP installation is, is not being read because you have configured Orbiter to read texture files elsewhere (to be able to get the HD planet textures).
What you can do is copy the...
For now only CDR EVA is supported in NASSP, the plan is to definitely get the LMP EVA functioning at some point but for now only Neil can step out of the LM. It is still recommended to leave the LMP in his PLSS for the entire EVA, to prevent CO2 accumulation in the suit circuit since the suit...
The J-missions are not officially supported by NASSP 8.0, but they are fully functional provided the following work-around is performed with regards to the ECS and EPS systems in the CSM/LM:
Note 1: The real J missions LM included a fifth battery in the descent stage that permitted the...
1. The LM now has the "Crew State" implemented like it is on the CSM. The crew will die if:
- Pressure lower than 2.8 psi for 10 minutes
- Pressure higher than 22 psi for 1 hour
- Temperature above about 45°C or below about 0°C for 12 hours
- CO2 above 10 mmHg for 30 minutes
- Acceleration...
I've had that happen recently as well. Check the task manager to make sure the Orbiter process is completely shut down, in my case it wasn't...even after I had completely quit (or so I thought) and restarted Orbiter. Hope that helps.
Hey Alex,
The ROD switch is not visible on the panel itself, but is accessible via hotkeys:
Minus: Increase Descent Rate
Equals: Decrease Descent Rate
See here for other keyboard commands: https://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=40234
Update to rotational switch functionality:
Rotaries in NASSP have been changed so that you can no longer go directly to any position on the rotary but instead have to cycle through all positions leading to the new desired position.
Mouse-click handling has also changed: Before you would left...
I have a minor issue with the self-shadows: When I set the terrain mapping to projected this works very well for the most part, except that the shadow is not visible from internal views. This makes it quite challenging for scenarios such as landing the LM on the moon as one relies a lot on the...
msligo, I think I may have an idea of what your initial problem is. You were not technically in P00 at this time I think because of the PTC procedure.
Usually before every uplink, you do V37E00E on the DSKY (and bit rate- high of course) before pressing the ready for uplink key. I tried your...
