    LVLH direction vector

I'm stuck, I'm working on an autopilot for my Prometheus Launcher once again and I've actually managed to get it to work reasonably well thanks to an updated understanding of PID controllers. I'm looking to improve on it and I need to get the LVLH direction vector of the vessel as well as being...

Problem Unable to load vessel module - what could cause?

Well I know...something. This is an update of both Prometheus and my Orbiter Payload Handler so Prometheus is my test vessel. Unfortunately, it seems the newish OPH was the culprit. I've tried to convert OPH to using a .dll since I still can't figure out how to make .libs compile with different...

Problem Unable to load vessel module - what could cause?

I'm using Orbiter's property pages and I also just confirmed that both of those libs are in the linker.

Problem Unable to load vessel module - what could cause?

Ok, I installed the VC++2013 redistributable packages and it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?

Problem Unable to load vessel module - what could cause?

So I'm trying to make some updates to my old Prometheus Launch Vehicle, but it's not even showing up in Orbiter. It's not crashing, and the Orbiter.log only shows this: **** Orbiter.log Build Aug 30 2010 [v.100830] Timer precision: 2.84443e-007 sec Found 1 joystick(s) Devices enumerated: 6...

    Apollo 13 20th anniversary re-release

Just wondering if anyone else picked up the 20th anniversary Blu-ray remastered re-release of Apollo 13? I couldn't buy it fast enough and it came this past Tuesday (HAIL PROBE!). I'm hosting a watching party for a few friends on the 13th!

    Em drives

So Hero of Alexandria shouldn't have built the Aeolipile because he couldn't mathematically describe how it worked?

New Star Wars movies confirmed (NO SPOILERS!)

I still can't get over "the line." I think it will be second only in cinematic history to "No, I am your father."

Accuracy test of the Orbiter integration engine

Are you getting the same 30fps with D3D9?

Accuracy test of the Orbiter integration engine

Was your framerate still around 30 when you got the imperfect results? Have you tried either running Orbiter_ng headless (really really really high fps) or using D3D9 which depending on the computer, should drastically improve the framerate?

News Leonard Nimoy dies at 83

Cagle (noted current-events cartoonist) did a series about Leonard Nimoy. I won't post them all, but number 4 was the best. I cried: http://www.cagle.com/news/leonard-nimoy/page/4/

News Leonard Nimoy dies at 83

There's a petition up on change.org to get the IAU to name a star after Leonard Nimoy. I signed without hesitation. https://www.change.org/p/nasa-name-a-star-after-leonard-nimoy

Accuracy test of the Orbiter integration engine

Well, you'd know if you were running fixed timestep as you have to go deep into the launchpad to enable it. Framerate can be quickly displayed by pressing F and there's a framerate grapher somwhere, I'll have to look this weekend if you don't find it before then.

Accuracy test of the Orbiter integration engine

Was this done under fixed timesteps? If not, what was your framerate from the Orbiter-side of things?

    Computer with 1Hz cycle?

I think Artlav nailed it, it was the update rate of the entire loop rather than the clock rate. Still, that seems very slow despite it being perfectly fine of course. If anyone has a link to a resource that indicates that, I'd love to see it to get better context.

    Computer with 1Hz cycle?

I was trying to prove a point to someone on the internet about reaction speeds, and I thought about something I read a long time ago but am now having trouble placing. At one time, I thought I read that the Saturn V launch computer operated at a cycle of 1Hz because "even a Saturn V doesn't move...

    New Release D3D9Client Development

Apologies for the extremely delayed reply, full screen window does not cause a crash, but true full screen does. I also tested "Window with Taskbar" but it does not cause a crash either. I will test with R14 shortly. [EDIT]I did a test on my regular (though less than clean) Orbiter Install, and...

    New Release D3D9Client Development

Ok, it's been quite a while since I've had to debug D3D9, but I'm getting a crash on exit. Fresh 2010-P1 Orbiter install, no addons (not even sound or UMMU), D3D9 R15. I've pasted my Orbiter.log, Orbiter_NG.cfg, D3D9.cfg, and the D3D9 HTML Log to this post (sorry, I can't attach it). Let me know...
