Some of the "particles and fields" instruments are still working and are collecting data on the interstellar environment, so that data comes down every day. The Voyagers are the only (human-made) (working) machines out there, so that data is still new to us.

I think they are showing opposite sides of the lander: the docking port is on the other side of the (lunar surface) hatch. 🤷‍♂️
