Welcome! I had that record too, but had completely forgotten about it til just now! Thanks for the reminder.:) PhantomCruiser: By the time Apollo 17 rolled around, my mother had correctly diagnosed the mysterious ailment I seemed to come down with every time there was a moon landing as the...

Hell, at 58 I feel just like I did at 38...well, except for the joint stiffness...and the muscle fatigue...the deteriorating eyesight...But, other than that...oh yeah, the knee. Ah, never mind.

Four days off, and nothing to do except play Orbiter: ...maybe unplug the phone, just in case.

    SEP: Interlude Pt. 4

Sorry Scav; I read this installment some days back, and meant to comment then, but couldn't really think of anything to say. It's clearly a pivotal moment for Jamie, with a very unexpected conversation at the end. The read, as always, is easy and comfortable, it's just that...well, I think...

Problem Can't Seem To Reenter The TX

IIRC it was at this point that I needed to begin performing S-turns in order to keep the lift vector from taking the ship back up, out of the atmosphere.

Could Comet C/2013 A1 impact Mars in 2014?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjNoxEL45vU That link is from Messierhunters post #443 on the (current) last page of the Astrophoto thread. The best I've seen so far.

Problem Delta Glider launch into orbit

I believe an associated file in the 'flights' folder is required for playback, in addition to the 'playback' file.

A Return to the Moon by the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary.

News Mars One - settlement funded via reality TV in 2023

"Virgin Galactic". Tis but a name, not a promise, not an advertizement. Nobody expects, as they remove the wrapper from their Mars bar, that they will be eating something from another planet. Nobody expects to be released from the bonds of gravity by chewing a piece of Orbit gum. And nobody...

    Happy Birthday to John Young!

Happy Birthday John Young! The first to ride an Atlas booster. Why not count the CSM and the LM separately? They were, in fact separate vehicles.

    MFD Mission Elapsed Time MFD

I don't even know if it's possible, but something I've always wanted is an MET that records or logs certain events that could be referenced later in a mission or post-mission. Events such as Start/Stop times for Main/Hover and Retro engines, wheels up/down times, UMMU ingress/egress times...
