[REQUEST] Add the Inverse-Square Law for sunlight

I would like to see something like this as well. It's my understanding however, that it couldn't be accurately implemented due to...well, I'm not really sure. Something to do with the brightness range on monitors or some such. Personally I don't really care if it's accurate or not, so long as...

    General Question Orbiter without Numpad

Well, neither can I, hence the question. I just can't seem to remember where I read it. I had thought it was in the simpit forum but I've been looking around there and haven't found it yet. It wasn't long ago, within a month.

    General Question Orbiter without Numpad

Where would that line be located? ========== Never mind, found it in 'keymap'.cfg. Duh. ========== So, I seem to remember reading somewhere on the forum that if I plug in an external numpad (I have a PC, by the way), that both ROT and TRANS thrusters can be used without having to use the...

    HD Images live from ISS!

Here's mine: If you look carefully, you can see the camera lens just beginning to be reflected by its casings window. At the bottom center some lettering can be seen. It can be seen elsewhere in the image as well but I won't spoil it. Thanks fred18. :)

General Question fresh install wont work

The Orbiter.log file can be found in your main Orbiter folder, usually just after the Orbiter. exe and the orbiter.ico files, and before the orbiter_ng.exe file.

Flight Question How to stop just stop

Have you tried the Horizon Level AP? I find it very difficult to avoid drift without using it. I don't know what you're flying but in my case (DGIV), I usually use retro thrust to get my velocity down to something the translational thrusters can deal with, engage Horizon Level AP, line up with...

    Question Inter-Dimensional flight

It should probably be noted that your first blog post here (and it's "sugar coat" by the way, not, "sugar code") in essence ridiculed a host of developers for not, "doing it right" Now I'm no coder: the closest I got was tinkering with BASIC on a C-64 30yrs. ago., but I do know that Orbiter was...

Problem Puting DG IV in orbit using Editor causes damage

Wow. I can't imagine being so bored with Orbiter that I'd want to use the scenario editor to get to orbit quickly, and still have enough interest to continue from there. In any case, if you are on Earth or Mars, use the appropriate ascent autopilot and set time accel. to 10x. You'll be there...

A quick update from Tex (It's been far too long!)

Hey Tex! It's great to hear from you, bud! You are missed around here. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, that's awesome news! It would be great to see more vids, tutorial or otherwise. I quite enjoyed your tutorials. Now would be a good time to get back into Orbiter; don't know...
