Software How to Install Orbiter 2010 on Mac OS X

I figured out a solution to using the number pad on Mac. Please see my blog post (now updated with this information). It's essentially just removing every instance of the word NUMPAD in the keymap.cfg file. Oh, and for those of you who followed my instructions and still have the screen...

Software How to Install Orbiter 2010 on Mac OS X

My first goal is in trying to solve the numeric keypad issue. Hopefully some of you can help me figure this out. I've only spent a couple hours researching what exactly is going on, but it seems like a "numeric keypad" on mac is just treated as the numbers. In other words, when I press 1 on the...

    Discussion OVP software license change

Ok I am by NO means any sort of expert on this. But isn't the entire point of the GNU public license to prevent exactly that? That the software released under this license can be used freely but explicitly prohibited from being resold? It's the whole idea of Richard Stallmann's "copy-left"...

Software How to Install Orbiter 2010 on Mac OS X

That's the exact issue I had when I first installed it, and that's why I selected a different driver (tried them all until I found one that worked..) Hmm.. sorry I'm not technically savy when it comes to graphics driver, I mostly just figured this all out trial and error. Ok my priorities are...

Software How to Install Orbiter 2010 on Mac OS X

I admittedly got everything working (seemingly) and then posted here. So I haven't even tested a number pad out yet! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll definitely look into it. Another problem I've noticed is that by using the Mac OS X Driver in the Screen Options means any of the...

Software How to Install Orbiter 2010 on Mac OS X

Hello, I just spent the night getting Orbiter 2010-P1 working on my Mac. I'm probably not the first person to do this, but I was unable to find a tutorial so was on my own. But I wrote one for the next person. Tutorial is here. Maybe it will help some fellow mac users!

General Question Opening Retro Engine Doors

Is there any way to open the retro engine doors (on stock DeltaGlider) using ONLY keyboard presses? I'm programming a custom control panel and would like to assign a button to a macro. The only way I know how to open the doors is to use the mouse to open them on the panel switch (CTRL+SPACEBAR).

Project OGLAClient O2010P1 update (OGLA 110130)

Linguofreak: You are correct, this issue has nothing to do with OGLAClient. I originally thought it did, which is why I posted it in that other thread. I am at work now, but will try to update this DLL as soon as possible and check if that works. Thanks.

Project OGLAClient O2010P1 update (OGLA 110130)

Amazing as always, Artlav. I was wondering if there's a way to shrink down the size of the HUD elements (e.g. pitch ladder, compass...). I tried changing the panel size to something different, but anything other than 1 produces a CTD on startup. I'm running at 3840 x 1024, so by default the...

New Release OGLAClient 100608 (Second Tuesday edition)

EDIT: Didn't realize there was a new version. I'll post there. Thanks, Artlav.

New Release OGLAClient 100608 (Second Tuesday edition)

I have a similar problem. I can enter cockpit view, but only 3D. Glass cockpit causes a CTD. Running Win XP and Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT. Other than that, this is really an impressive bit of work, Artlav. It looks amazing. EDIT: Actually, I can't get into Glass cockpit in Orbiter 2010 at...

Nor did I say it was. I was just giving an example of a not-recent computer that is running orbiter at a high resolution -- 2002 is longer ago than it seems! :)

    2 seat simpit plans/Questions

I'm using a computer I built in 2002 to run my simpit. But I have Windows XP on it, and I upgraded the graphics card to handle the TH2G resolutions.
