Also for people that want a more Soviet/Russian experience, there is VirPil, I heard very good things about them, at least as good as Thrustmaster, and maybe even a bit better : https://virpil.com/en/about-us Now they are not really mass-producing, there are some delays.

    Request Artemis landers

The issue sometimes persists. The physics under the hood are complex and sometimes lead to unstable behavior. Try here (special thanks to @asbjos) : https://www.orbiter-forum.com/threads/parking-brake-mfd.39703/ I think the addon is open-source so you can "hard-code" the landed status into the...

    Request Artemis landers

You may want to force the behaviour of all ground stuff to be "landed" on ground contact. Stuff like props don't need to have the complex suspension simulated (from Orbiter's core engine), it is overkill.

Still enjoying the Thrustmaster HOTAS. Will order the rudder pedals, but then I'll need a new PC and a new screen... It's a bit an arms race 😅

Question What games are you playing?

Not exactly a game, but still very relevant about the evolution of gaming those last years :

Project Mir station complex / UR-500 family

The thermal insulation makes a lot of sense. From what I have read, making the Lunokhod able to survive a lunar 14-days night without freezing to death was quite a challenge. In the absence of atmosphere, temperatures plummet to values close from the absolute zero (-273.15°C). It led to that...

Project Mir station complex / UR-500 family

Looks very cool, I must say I'm not sure how the parachute used for final descent looked like. I know they made it from some kind of metal because nylon or kevlar just melted or burned in the infernal heat... It was learnt the hard way ! :hailprobe: We're talking of +460°C, my own small kitchen...

I'll be back into addon development in less than a month now, school year is nearly over. Can't wait ! 🥳

Well I did it, I managed to shoot my first (cooperative) target with a Super 530D. The M2000C mod uses a "BRM release" label in the control, for the non-native english speaker I am it wasn't obvious it was for "Bombs-Rockets-Missiles release". Well, it took my two weapons. I shot the first one...

General Question Play with Orbiter 2016 from USB.

Yeah, soft brushes are the way to go. Paintbrushes work well. Wear a mask to avoid filling your lungs with silicone mud. Also if you have an hair dryer that has a "cold mode" it works great for clogged fans. Never use a vacuum cleaner, vacuum induces static electricity. Last year I went crazy...

General Question Play with Orbiter 2016 from USB.

70°C is not that crazy but you're starting to be in the "red zone" yes. I use this to make sure temperatures remain under control : https://fr.msi.com/Landing/afterburner/graphics-cards It is meant for overclocking (which you don't want to do there !), but it also has a very handy function...

Now I have the HOTAS, I begin to have some fun with DCS and the Mirage 2000C DLC. Latest "war story" : I got why it is important to correctly set the "bingo fuel" alarm. Left AB on while I was trying to get the radar in working order while flying over the Black Sea. I had that weird feeling...
