    Question Your favorite music genre(s)?

When in the right mood almost any mainstream genre except for really twangy country or heavy/gangsta rap. Really digging dubstep lately, too. My usual go-to is still EDM (electronic dance music), Tiesto, Afrojack, SvD, Ferry Corsten, etc (hmm, those were all Dutch DJs...coincidence? :hmm:

    Free War Simulation Games

Agreed, Evil. World of Tanks is pretty awesome and doesn't require tremendous horsepower from your PC. I'm in on the Closed Beta of World of Warplanes and it's looking pretty incredible as well.

    Question Username origins

Dutch=born in Rotterdam, Netherlands and still fiercely Dutch despite living most of my life in Canada (also an awesome country) pirate=reflects one of my favorite outdoor activities, sailing my boat, although I haven't boarded anyone yet so I might have to go back to pirate school, Arrrgghhh!

    Problem LTMFD and Eagle Transporter

I'm using the most recent versions/patches on the Space:1999 Eagle and Moonbase Alpha. I just ran it again and same thing, I manually fired my RCS to make the correction and everything else worked fine after that.

    Problem LTMFD and Eagle Transporter

 not noob, but maybe more than a bit rusty! Yes I did, tx, countdown came and went, MFD showed that it was burning, but the thrusters didn't fire and my trajectory didn't change

    Problem LTMFD and Eagle Transporter

Yup, did that as per the tutorial, but RCS never fired:shrug:

    Problem LTMFD and Eagle Transporter

Haven't fired up Orbiter in a while, then a co-worker shows me some teasers from Space:2099 (wait til you see the new Eagles!) and it got me itching to fly the old Eagle Transporters again. I'm trying to get from Earth>Moon using LTMFD, which so far is an AMAZING addon, but it doesn't seem to...

    Gaming iPhone Space Flight

I have Wings: Earth, but the reviews for Galaxy were not encouraging, I was thinking of waiting for a few updates first, what do you think of it?

    Gaming iPhone Space Flight

While there are a lot of space themed shooters, it's not as easy to find space flight sim apps for the iPhone/iPod. I found one, iOrbiter, that I've only played the Lite(free) version so far. The objective is to change/transfer orbit using main and retro thrust. There is a trajectory plot...

    Question good, low price joysticks?

The more I think about, the more I believe my stick prior to my Saitek Aviator was the 3D Pro as well, and yes, it was a decent stick. Still, I like the Aviator for the dual throttle levers and 24 available toggles (4 2-way toggles, 3 modes) for loading a lot of functions onto the joystick.

    Question good, low price joysticks?

Another vote for the Saitek Aviator. All the extra toggles on the base and three modes to choose from give you LOTS of config options. Flying the XR-2, I have Atmospheric, SCRAM, and space modes. Dual throttles is nice too, main/hover or main/retro are what I usually use, although left/right...

Question Whats the best Sci-fi movie/tv series?

Big Fan of Babylon 5, just scored the entire series on eBay for $80! Story lines are excellent! CGI dated, of course, but at least they generally observe Newtonian physics, so it lends more plausibility to the space scenes. The Whitestar cruiser is also one of the most beautiful starships in...

What kind of add-on do you think would change Orbiter forever?

Quite so, but to have it in an MFD that shows ETA to target and selection buttons to jump to predefined time points, halfway, 75%, etc.

What kind of add-on do you think would change Orbiter forever?

I haven't read through all the pages on this thread, so apologies if this has been mentioned. A time compression MFD that shows a simple display of significant time events and the ability to 'jump' to that time and have all your movement projected to that time. Essentially an instant time jump...

    OHM XR271

I've always found the XR-5 to be a particular challenge as well. I'm happiest the UPS skin, but I find that the scale of the craft works against me by causing odd wraps especially with logos/text. I'm using GIMP myself, I spent a lot of time 'tracing' details into separate layers so that I can...

Question What space games do you like other than Orbiter?

Master of Orion and Acendancy (thank the Gods for DOSBox), Babylon 5 I've Found Her, and I keep thinking I'll go on eBay and find a copy of Homeworld.

Thanks, Penny. Coming from you that is very high praise. Are the exhaust trails on your skins stock, or did you tweak those?

Thanks guys, not sure why I didn't post this a long time ago, the SR-71 was always a popular plane.
