    Updates Artemis II

The crew of Artemis II are now further from Earth than any humans before. They just passed a distance of 400,171 kilometers from subearth point. That was the highest altitude reached by the crew of Apollo 13 fiftysix years ago in April 1970.

AMSO AMSO for Orbiter 2016 released

I was able to achieve a good* LOI (burn) pretty much on every Apollo mission using the LTMFD (LunarTransferMFD) LOI program with AMSO 1.23 in Orbiter 2016 with the full stack (CSM+LM). * in terms of resulting apolune and perilune Get LTMFD here...

Last one (for today... :) ). LMP Schmitt and CDR Cernan (Apollo 17) heading back to their lunar rover after exploring station 2 during EVA-2 near Nansen crater at the foot of the South Massif. The shallow ridge rising beyond the rover belongs to the terrain of the Lee-Lincoln Scarp which is a...

    Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Yes, disabled them for the time being, still trying to find a solution for only the lowest level texture (D3D9Moon_A.dds ) to render the shadows of its alpha channel onto my global moon texture.

Amazing how it is possible to get the same Lunar Module attitude (roll left and pitched up about 8 degrees) when placing the "Falcon" of Apollo 15 at the precise landing coordinates in Orbiter. Start of the first surface EVA. (O2016Beta + D3D9Client + Apollo landing site addon and AMSO with...

    New Release D3D9Client Development

Hi everyone! Recently I am slowly getting back to Orbiter after a long hiatus. I am using mostly an installation of Orbiter 2016 beta [190914] with the D3D9 Client R30.7. I initially installed an older version of the D3D9 Client into this Orbiter installation and later "overwrote" the folder...

YES! I forgot the textures for my Orbiter Beta installation are drawn from another Orbiter setup (to save harddrive space) Thank you! It is working now - BEAUTIFUL!

Surface Base Apollo Landing Site Sceneries for Orbiter 2016

Thanks @kuddel ! I checked and it is set to "Cache & Archive". Fired up Orbiter again but still no Taurus Littrow hi-res elevation to avail. I don't get it. The other landing sites show the hi-res terrain (same orbiter installation). EDIT ohhh... the textures are drawn from another...

Surface Base Apollo Landing Site Sceneries for Orbiter 2016

@ggalfi this looks really spectacular. Thanks for all your efforts in creating this. I seem to have a problem, although I correctly unzipped the elevation files into my orbiter main folder, the hi-resolution elevation surface just won't show up in Orbiter. Do you have any idea? Thank you! Happy...

Problem Cannot launch AMSO LM from the Moon

Either the CSM is out of plane (ground track is too far away from your location) or the CSM apolune/perilune is outside altitude constraints.
