Thanks jroly, I remember trying that D3D9client previously but instead of CTD at Moon/Mars it gave me these weird looking texture/elevation issues - I'm not sure how to insert screenshots, otherwise I would insert them into this reply. Here's hoping the final release of 2015 and a bug free D3D9...

I have the same problem. Have only noticed it with Mars and the moon, though. I can view them from a distance but once I begin to zoom in to view the terrain I get a CTD.
