TL; DR but accepting because don't care. Wow! So serious! It's just a non profit community forum. What is reason to this? EU "politely" asked you to make Privacy policy stuff?

Discussion ChatGPT Can help writing Code for Orbiter

Sometimes, when need to solve some problem while writing code, I ask question right into duckduckgo and pres AI help. It usually answers in a way that I can solve problem. Usually some casting error in C. Good thin, it also gives URL from where it took info, so I can read myself.

    Using Orbiter on Linux

I am running Orbiter on Lubuntu 24.04 using Wine. Mostly for addon testings instead of full gameplay. It works out of box using build-in Orbiter graphics. No luck yet with DX9 yet, but I think this is my laziness and my fault. Long story short: Orbiter work on Linux using Wine.

Problems with building orbiter because of irrKlang

How hard is to move from irrKland to something else? For example SDL2/SDL3 and forget these weird external dependencies.

Discussion ChatGPT Can help writing Code for Orbiter

If you want something working (or good quality) make it yourself and don't hope or relay on others! And I mean human beings. If I see someone tell AI do things etc etc, I read it following: That, who asks question to AI, is more stupid than AI. And AI stupidity you already know by your own...

It was sarcasm. Sure thing, airplanes are totally OK for me in Orbiter. At the same time all this support stuff kerbalize Orbiter a little bit in a positive way.

    Linux Mint Updating

Simplest way to reinstall is... Kinda Fomtat C: and install on clean HDD/SSD. This is how I "upgrade" my Lubuntu. I take another SSD and install Lubuntu on it. You can do the same. If you don't have spare SSD, then copy your data to external storage. Remove partitions and do clean Install. Then...

So many addons that do not work

That add-on messed with Orbiter.exe if version is correct. Version check was happened by reading particular bytes in Orbiter.exe Do I need to find that add-on? I can try... LOX is totally OK there! 🙃

So many addons that do not work

Remember, I saw an add-on. Don't remember what it does, but something related to remote control or whatever. It was made for Orbiter 2006. How it works? It check few bytes in Orbiter.exe, if they match, add-on patch executable. Really "cool" approach to add functionality to Orbiter. These kind...
