    Can navigation satellites be CubeSatted?

Was reading two publications recently - Mark Paton's work on Martian EDL and a book called Martian Outpost by one Erik Seedhouse, and both got my mind working on how to perform pinpoint re-entries on a planet without GPS. Wonder if there's any precision to be gained from deploying a...

API Question Uniform access to information on celestial bodies

As of now, there's no easy way to determine from OAPI: Planetary precession period, and all related data, for an arbitrary point in the future; The pecking order in the solar system (who orbits whom); Global state vectors of any celestial body at any point in time (there are painfully unclear...

Question Engine throttling limits - RS-68, RD-180 etc.

Are there any hard data/links on the subject? The only stuff that I have memorized by heart concerns the SSME, would like to know the lowest throttle settings about other engines, too. (It won't be too hard to make a DLL preventing the player from violating the limits, BTW).

Question How many types of blueberry/bilberry/whortleberry have you gathered in your life?

Must admit that this question arose in connection with yet another announcement of Cs-137 threshold crossing in bilberry sold in Moscow markets. Speaking for myself, I have gathered bilberry/blueberry only in Russia, and it did not occur to me to do that in the States. Of course, marketed...

This is a question to those who a) code, b) have heard about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_pattern_(computer_science) , c) tried to use patterns in their work or hobby coding. How much time do you reckon the application of your favourite pattern saved you?

SDK Question Manipulating exhaust texture on the fly?

Tried to change colours of exhaust texture first by grabbing its SURFHANDLE and then setting the colour, but this did not work out. Is there any way to do that, perhaps with oapiBitBlt or any other SDK funcs?
