Safir launch with Fajr, February 2, 2015 Iranian state news as well as RIA Novosti are reporting that the "Fajr" ("Dawn") satellite was launched atop a Safir rocket at 09:30 GMT on February 2, 2015. The satellite appears to be working as expected according to other news sources. Edit: Thanks...

It looks like Iran will be launching a satellite into orbit in the coming week (link).

Both SpaceX and OneWeb seem to be creating different satellite networks that are supposed to provide Internet to the entire world. Coincidentally; they were both announced at the same time. SpaceX's plan (4025 satellites) and OneWeb's plan (648 satellites).

Just because somebody else named one of their spacecraft 'Starchaser' doesn't mean you can't use that name as well. There are two 'Orion' programmes (and both are by NASA) in real life.

Want China Times: China's first private spacecraft sets test flight for July I'd assume the '40,000km' number is a small typo though :lol:.
