Your right about Jupiter and Saturn. I hadn't even thought of going there in the airship but that might be interesting. A generic buoyant lift module is probably of medium difficulty to make, i.e. it might take some effort to get right.

Helium is the lifting gas. Yes it looks like the user could choose between lifting gases via the individual gas constant. I can add an option for that and the vacuum airship in the scenario file. Thanks for the suggestion (and the review of the addon).

Good question! I'm not sure actually. I think I tend to make adjustments using the rudder. It might fly more like an airplane when it is significantly heavier than air.

Ok good idea on the first part. It's working with Orbiter 2024 now. It turned out to be some old code that just needed deleting. Visual Studio 2022 Community is also compiling the code now. It turned out that the file and folder paths needed changing. I've made a small addition to the code...

It seems the airship doesn't work in Orbiter 2024 when I start with the airship in flight. I get a CTD. Starting with the airship parked on the ground everything seems to work fine. So I'll have to try and figure out what might be causing this. Maybe it's some obsolete code I can update.

Thanks. Airships and balloons are fascinating because they are quite sensitive to the atmospheric conditions and weather.
