And when people screw up/override their base when merely editing? Programs shouldn't be editing Orbiter's files directly.

Nope. The best one can do is zoom out. Alternatively, one can make another base to the north/south/east/west, and use that base to add tiles.

So if an engine is directly docked to a tank, it will tap off it? Huh. Good to know.

Dockable engines? Do you need the Kethane (or some other) mod for that? Or is it something like a small tank with engine, that you have to manually keep filling from other docked tanks?

Here's a trick to prevent overheating: Don't attach the mainsails directly to the tank. Put a "Cubic Octagonal Strut" under the tank, attach the mainsail to the strut, and connect the tank and mainsail with a fuel line.

IIRC, I've launched a DG-IV into a polar orbit from KSC, and landed back at KSC with 1 orbit.

I was going to say something myself. Although, doesn't it take less Delta-V (in fuel) to land on Mars vs the Moon - with aerobraking? I can't remember.

I just tried it, and here's a tip: When you add a mesh, there will be a "Dimensions" section. The dimensions of the meshes (at least the ones I've used so far) are 1 X 1. This makes manually adjusting the scale pretty easy in a config file, but makes them pretty hard to see in OBM (they're too...
