Hi, I'm new to orbiter addon development and I have a problem with 3ds texturing: I set up the UV map for the meshes and in the program it works perfectly, but when I test my mesh in orbiter it does not show the textures positioned correctly. Any idea?? Thanks

Is your UV map misplaced, rotated, or flipped in one of axes?

The UV map is not correct!
I use this one:

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3941"]3DS2Mesh win interface[/ame]

it's a window interface that allows you to rapidly convert 3ds file format to msh format. if you switch on the option F=UV the UV map is correctly convented with your msh. This will put your textures in the right position!
Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome. It's completely misplaced, it appears in the default position, that one existing in the mesh when you haven't edited it yet.

It doesn't work for me, I'm under Vista and vinka's 3ds2mesh doesn't work at all. Thanks anyway.

I think I might have the cause of the problem. May it be because I'm using vertex color channel instead of explicit map channel??
