I have been seeing images and a video relating to the Aurora Space Station, one of the future space stations/hotels that is set to launch during the 2020's decade, And I have been curious over the possibility of having the station in addon form.

This is the video here:

The design looks familiar - wasn't there a CEV proposal that looked similar?

Orion Span is an private company, much like SpaceX. The Aurora is an Three-module space station that will be visitable from both the Boeing Starliner, The SpaceX Starship and Crew Dragon and the Space System version of Dream Chaser.

Yes, but what I mean is this one from 2004:

SpaceHab was the company called back then, now it is Astrotech, so not related to Orion Span it seems.

Speaking of SpaceHab, Space Shuttle flew SpaceHab module a lot of times, starting from 1980s. It was an research station onboard the Space Shuttle. The last flight of SpaceHab was tragic, it flew onboard Columbia in 2003 before its destruction in reentry, killing 5 Americans, 1 Indian and 1 Israeli.
Long live Kalpana Chawla. :(

SpaceHab last flew aboard Endeavour during STS-118, but yeah the last time it flew as a dedicated laboratory ended tragically

Speaking of the Aurora Station, no further information about it was released when the Axiom Orbital Segment of the ISS was announced

It is hard to believe that the station is really launched one day. But still everything has already been booked almost seven months in advance, however, the assembly of the Aurora Station has not yet begun. But it is a good idea that before the flight, astronauts will have to undergo a three-month training program.

In the case if NASA discommissions the ISS in the future, Aurora would be one of the future American space stations and an solo station since Skylab of the 70's. if Aurora was to be really launched into orbit and be assembled, Orion Span would have to select the New Glenn or the ULA Vulcan to launch the components.
