BBC News said:A bomb has exploded in front of a school in the southern Italian city of Brindisi killing at least one girl and injuring six others.
The blast went off as students were arriving at the Francesca Morvillo Falcone vocational school at around 07:45 (05:45 GMT).
Although no-one has said they planted the device, the city's mayor has blamed local mafia.
Police are at the scene investigating the blast scene.

Right now it's too early to say if this attack is connected to organized criminality or has more to do with the recent, economically motivated unrests.
What is worrying is the fact that a school was targeted, something that didn't happen even during the days of the "Brigate Rosse" (Red Brigades) in the seventies and eighties.
