This is the Base file of Orbiter City to give you a better frame rate.

Have taken out the traffic lights,  windfarm,  trees, benches and the bikes and cars.
The frame rate will be better but still Graphic Heavy.

If you still have a low frame rate take out all the mesh files but
leave the mesh with the file name "flat.msh" for
the underground parking in one of the buildings.

Hope this will help

Enjoy!!!

This helps a lot, bumped it from an unplayable 7 fps to a an acceptable 20-30.

Thank you, ace102! While not as complicated as the original, you retained the "wow" factor, but at a much more functional FPS. This addon will be the gold standard for fictional Orbiter Cities for years to come... or until you make a new one!

There are although no bikes and cars in the original Orbiter City! I would love to have it, the developer ment he has not yet the right stuff to create self driving UCGO cars ect. I have 11-38 fps in the original Addon, thats enough for me for driving in that city, maybe to less for flying, will see. But Im using extraordinary maximum quality settings in both, in orbiter and gfx driver. I could reduce there at first. I have ATI 4870 and amd 7750 x2.

installing orbiter city

I am having problems installing orbiter city on a win7 system running orbiter2010. when i unzip it into orbiter it does not put any of the files in the right place. it just creates a directory in orbiter called orbitercity. I tried to move all the tex and mesh files manually but many buildings are grey or missing....good framerate and really cool! please help.

you could just route UCGO cars yourself, ya know.
